"My name is Cheng Rui. I'm from China and I've been in France for over a year.

I live in the west residence, close to the campus, it's convenient. Last year, I came to France to continue my studies, and I took intensive courses at CUEF to improve my French. However, the situation was very difficult during the pandemic. When CUEF had to close, I took online courses through ZOOM, and the teacher would send me the files we needed to study before the course. Everything went smoothly, with us looking at each other on the screen.
Although the course was normal, it felt very different from a face-to-face class.

For me, Grenoble is a wonderful city. When I'm free, I spend some time on a bench in the city center, looking at the fountains and the pedestrians strolling along the Isère. The people of Grenoble are very sporty, and I always see people running along the river. What's more, they're passionate about hiking. Surrounded by mountains, the ranges are covered in snow in winter.
That was the first time I tried skiing.
