College without the mask!

Student life
As part of the DUEF B1.6 course, students interviewed 27 people at the University to find out their impressions of mask removal. Here's their conclusion!

As of March 14, wearing a mask is no longer compulsory at university. Following this change, we conducted a survey.
78% of those surveyed at the University were relieved to no longer be wearing masks. There are many reasons for their opinion. For example, some said that without masks, relationships and communication between people were improved. Some foreign students said that understanding other languages is easier without the mask. Others remarked on comfort: it's easier to breathe the air, the mask is uncomfortable, and people get tired of wearing the mask. For some, masks create a lot of pollution, so it's more ecological to do away with them. Those in favor of eliminating masks feel freer without them, and life is less stressful.

Opponents of mask removal

According to our survey, some of the 27 people questioned prefer to keep their masks on. Some are worried about their health, believing that Covid is not yet over. A few respondents mentioned the need to wear masks in public places to protect themselves and others.
In addition to health, there are other reasons for keeping a mask on. As one interviewee put it, "at the start of the mask abolition, it seemed like something was missing". In fact, wearing a mask has become a habit.

Survey results

After the survey carried out by CUEF students on "college without the mask", we can say that the majority of students are in favor of doing away with the mask.

Experience as a journalist

The difficulty we found with the survey was language and communication. Fortunately, the interviewees were friendly and happy to answer our questions. For the interwiews it was an interesting experience because we took on the role of journalist.
