Who is it for?

Levels B1 and B2.

Objectives and content

• Develop the written and spoken communication skills required for the medical professions,
• Learn to communicate with patients, their families, fellow doctors and paramedic and administrative staff.
These classes are based on the use of authentic written, audio and video materials.

Duration and number of hours

10 2-hour sessions per semester.
The duration and time period can be changed if a group which has already been formed specifically requests it.

An example of medical cooperation
As part of the MIRA project, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region supports cooperation with universities abroad. In this way, the French training support programme for the French-speaking medical stream at Shanghai Jiao Tong University enables, each year, a group of future doctors and nurses to take French classes and medical French classes at the Chinese-French-speaking Training Centre at Jiao Tong University.
