Estelle, in search of independence

Student life
"For me, coming to study in France means growing up and becoming independent, getting out of my original comfort zone."

I'm originally from China, and I've been studying and living in France for 4 months (September 2020). Everything is very new to me. I'm studying FLE at CUEF. In fact, life under the epidemic is a bit difficult for most people, and we have to endure changes that didn't exist before.
For me, coming to study in France meant growing up and becoming independent, getting out of my original comfort zone. Fortunately, after arriving in France, I received help from many people, I felt very touched, which dispelled some of my fears of a new life. I've made friends and my classmates at university are very friendly. I was encouraged by my French classmate in the same class. There were also some strangers on the road who helped me with my luggage.
At the beginning of September, the teacher organized an expedition to Grenoble for us. I'm someone who likes to visit museums. It was a pity that the museum wasn't open that day. One day I was downtown, and someone was singing, and I hope I'll be able to listen to some more, once the epidemic is over. Because of the epidemic, I haven't yet appreciated Grenoble's charm, but the French desserts are really delicious!
As far as food is concerned, because I'm Chinese, my dietary orientation remains Chinese cuisine. Although I usually cook myself, I miss the taste of home the most. I always think that dishes prepared by parents are the most authentic. I exchanged dishes with an Arab friend from a residence, and she liked the DiSanxian I made.
But life in France is still a bit lonely, so I hope to make more friends in the future.
