Youwen, on an international course

Student life
"I've learned a lot at CUEF thanks to the teachers, they're all professional, patient and friendly."

"My name is Youwen, a student who has been learning French at CUEF for a year. I come from Fuyang, Anhui province, China. I arrived in France in July 2019, living in a student residence. This is my second year here in Grenoble.

I'm on an international course (like an exchange program) between Anhui Normal University andUniversité Grenoble Alpes, it allows me to find differences between the Chinese university and the one in France. I came with all my Chinese classmates in the same class (21 in total) and we live in the same building, so we can help each other when we encounter difficulties.

In March, when we started to confine ourselves, I went back to China. While I was in China, my French lessons continued online, on the ZOOM application. We had a videoconference every day of the week, and after class our teacher sent us support emails.

Outside university, I've made friends on social networks. They're nice and friendly.

When I have free time, I like to go to the gym to work out; I've also met friends there and we get on well. I also like to travel. I travelled a lot last year, in France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Portugal. What I like most about France is the vacations, because in China you don't have enough vacations, everyone works a lot. Even so, I really miss my country since I left it and returned after finishing my studies in France.

In short, the time I spent in France was pleasant and unforgettable. I learned a lot at CUEF thanks to the teachers here, who are all professional, patient and friendly. I will recommend CUEF to my Chinese friends who want to learn French."
