Phonetic remediation: from error diagnosis to correction (3h)

Kristof Eymard

Target learner levels A1 to B2

Training objectives : This workshop, oriented towards professional practice, offers concrete activities to train in the design of progression paths within the framework of phonetic remediation in French. The aim of this workshop is to support teachers in identifying, diagnosing and correcting phonetic errors, while experimenting with creative and recreational phonetic activities for learners. The workshop is divided into 3 parts:
  • The fundamentals of phonetic correction: screening, phonological deafness, and the specificities of French phonetics.
  • Phonetic correction method: how to spot, diagnose and treat phonetic errors
  • Practical workshop: experimentation with phonetic activities and examples of corrective phonetics.
How we work After an initial phase of discussion and analysis of teaching practices, participants will be invited to try out a range of activities, either on their own or in groups, in order to put into practice the key concepts around phonetic correction and experiment with the creative activities proposed by the trainer in the FLE classroom.
