Meeting with writer Yamen Manaï on the theme of literature and ecology

Yamen Manaï is a French-speaking Tunisian writer who was awarded the Prix des cinq continents de la Francophonie in 2017. During this meeting, Yamen Manaï will discuss, as an engineer-writer, the role of French-language literature
in the face of current challenges: ecology, religious fanaticism, etc.
Born in Tunis in 1980, Yamen Manai lives in Paris, where he works as an engineer specializing in new information technologies. Elyzad published his first novel, La marche de l’incertitude (2010), in paperback. It won the Prix Comar d’Or in Tunisia and the Prix des lycéens Coup de cœur de Coup de Soleil in France.
His second novel, La sérénade d'Ibrahim Santos (2011), won the Prix Alain-Fournier, the Prix de la Bastide du Salon du livre de Villeuneuve-sur-Lot, and the Prix Biblioblog; it has been translated in Germany (Austernbank verlag).
L'Amas ardent was published in 2017 and won the Prix Comar d'Or in Tunis and, in France, the Prix des cinq continents de la Francophonie 2017, the Prix Maghreb de l'ADELF, the Prix Les Lorientales and, in Réunion, the Grand Prix du Roman Métis.
This meeting with Yamen Manaï will be moderated by Sonia Zlitni-Fitouri, professor of French and Francophone literature at the University of Tunis.
