Jacqueline Bouvier (Jackie Kennedy)
Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis, née Jacqueline Lee Bouvier, nicknamed "Jackie", was an American public figure, married to J F Kennedy (35th President of the United States).
She was the First Lady of the United States between 20/01/1961 and 22/11/1963, the date her husband died, assassinated by her side. Due to her elegance, beauty and simplicity she became one of the most popular First Ladies of the United States.
In 1949, while enrolled in a study programme in the United States, she left to study in France. First she took an intensive French course at the Grenoble CUEF before continuing her studies at the Sorbonne in Paris where she built on her knowledge of French culture (literature, history, philosophy, etc.).
