The CUEF, labelled “FLE Quality”
The French as a Foreign Language Quality label serves to identify, recognise and promote French as a Foreign Language centres that guarantee high-quality language courses and services.
An official guarantee
The French as a foreign language quality certification is a government certification awarded for 4 years by : the Ministry for National Education, Higher Education and Research, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, the Ministry for Culture and Communication.
Approved centres guarantee you the highest quality of linguistic training and assistance in 5 areas :
France Education international (FEI), a national public institution administratively related to the ministry for National Education, is in charge of implementing this certification system.
The label’s objectives
The French as a foreign language quality certification was set up by decree in 2007 to identify, recognise, and promote centres of French as a foreign language of which the language offer and the services present guarantees of quality.
It is a matter of setting up a quality-assurance process to give the public confidence, and to help diplomatic posts and the French network of institutes to prescribe a reliable offer of French language courses based.
The State also undertakes to make it an instrument for promoting the French language in the context of academic and professional mobility.
